A selection of 12 stunning outfits from top fashion designers of the 1920s and 1930s, modelled in an Agatha Christie themed showing. The Darnell Collection is is considered the largest private vintage clothing collection in Australia, and this short display of vintage couture covers highlights of hollywood glam and high rolling chic dresses, hats and accessories from the flapper era.

Hosted by Charlotte Smith, the current curator and fashion historian, the show also covers some of the techniques and tricks used in the development of the fashion world, across the 20s and 30s. The show, Where Fashion meets Fiction, was part of the Roaring 20s festival 2011, at the Carrington Hotel, Katoomba, Blue Mountains
