She’s one of the biggest icons in fashion, having been a part of the New York scene since the 1930s. Not only a businesswoman, interior designer and fashion legend, Iris Apfel has been immortalised by the Costume Institute in New York, in an award-winning documentary and with her very own Barbie.

Truly a force to be reckoned with, Iris Apfel turns an incredible 99 this week. To celebrate her birthday, Style is taking a look back at 16 of her most iconic looks.
