How do you research historical costumes? Which books are useful, and which ones aren’t? Today I thought I’d take you through some of the books I have that deal with fashion history. I can’t go through all of the books I’d like to share with you in one go, so these are all broad overviews of Western Fashion (or elements of it), both academic and more accessible, to give you an idea of what to expect from these books.

Let me know if this is of any use, and I’ll see about doing some similar videos on other sets of books that might be of interest!
