Burberry made its runway debut on home soil at London Fashion Week. The year also saw the top talent in fashion honored at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards. The relatively unknown but highly creative New York designer Sophie Theallet became the CFDA/Vogue Fashion winner. The Dolce & Gabbana 20th Anniversary collection brought the audience to tears. From Paris, ‘90s top model Kristen McMenamy served as muse to design duo, Viktor & Rolf. Plus, we pay special tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.
