1880’s fashion is truly spectacular, so I wanted to show it to you, these, the oldest fashion magazines in my collection. In this video we will be looking at a 140 year old fashion magazines, that’s right a VICTORIAN fashion magazines and even better you could buy the sewing patterns from it. I will show you all the amazing victorian sewing patterns from both the Weldon’s Ladies Journal November, 1885 and Weldons Ladies Journal September 1886. In these antiques magazines, it showcases Victorian Weldon’s patterns from the 1880’s as well as all the “current” fashion trends.
The 1880’s clothing it features includes but is not limited to, lobster tail bustles, corsets, children’s stays, traveling costumes, and so many more. These wonderful examples go beyond vintage patterns and dive clear into the world of antique sewing patterns.
